2027 | Cotswolds, England
For 6 days and 5 nights, Camp Joy makes its home at a historic English estate in the rolling countryside of the Cotswolds, about two hours west of London. It feels like it belongs in a storybook.
Just outside the village of Bisley and near the creative market town of Stroud, our home for five nights is surrounded by meadows, woodland paths and gentle hills dotted with Welsh Black cattle. This is quintessential English countryside, with honey-colored stone villages, country pubs, winding lanes and miles of green.
The house itself is anything but traditional. Historic details, including a grand sycamore staircase and hand-carved paneling, meet bold, joyful interiors filled with color and personality, and a kitchen table named Gulliver. Every room feels different, and there is always another cozy corner to discover.
Outside, ancient oaks and walking trails invite you to slow down. There’s a heated pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room and private padel courts, plus plenty of space to simply find a chair in the sunshine with a book.
The surrounding countryside is part of the experience. Walk across the fields to a tiny hamlet for a drink at the local pub, explore nearby Cotswold villages, or spend time in Stroud, known for its vibrant Saturday farmers' market, independent shops and creative spirit.
And throughout the week, our Inner Joy program creates space for something deeper. Morning practices, reflection, meaningful conversation and workshops are woven into the experience alongside beautiful meals, countryside adventures and plenty of unstructured time.
It’s a chance to experience the Cotswolds as we think they’re best experienced: slowly, from a beautiful country house, with time to wander, connect, laugh and simply enjoy being there.

What women often ask before joining a Camp Joy retreat
What makes Camp Joy different from other retreats?
Camp Joy blends beautiful destinations, shared exploration, and meaningful conversation through the Inner Joy sessions. The result is an experience that feels both joyful and deeply connecting. Some women come with friends. Many arrive on their own. By the end of the retreat, everyone feels part of something special.
Do women come on their own?
Yes. Many women arrive on their own, and it quickly becomes one of the most rewarding parts of the experience. Friendships form easily when women gather with openness and shared curiosity.
How structured are the days?
Camp Joy retreats have a natural rhythm with shared experiences, outings, and Inner Joy sessions. There is also plenty of time to relax, explore, or simply enjoy quiet moments.
Do I have to participate in everything?
Not at all. Every activity is optional. Some women join every outing and session, while others take time to rest, read, or explore on their own.
Still wondering if this retreat is right for you?
Most women who join a Camp Joy retreat have questions before they book.
Some are travelling alone. Some haven't taken a trip for themselves in years. Some simply want to know what it really feels like.
